1. Who Charges You
All purchases made inside AppsBrains mobile apps are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) as the merchant of record. AppsBrains never sees or stores your card details, and we cannot issue a refund directly to your payment method — only the store can.
This means refund requests must go through Apple or Google first. We can and do advocate on your behalf when a store initially declines a request that we think is fair — just email apps@appsbrains.co.
2. Subscriptions
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- The price and period are shown clearly before you confirm the purchase.
- Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Deleting the app or your AppsBrains account does not cancel the subscription — you must cancel through the store.
- We give at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
3. How to Cancel a Subscription
On iPhone or iPad
Open Settings
Tap your name at the top of the Settings app.
Tap Subscriptions
You will see every active and expired subscription tied to your Apple ID.
Select the app
Choose the AppsBrains app you want to cancel.
Tap Cancel Subscription
Confirm. If you do not see Cancel, the subscription is already cancelled.
On Android
Open the Google Play Store
Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
Go to Payments & subscriptions
Then tap Subscriptions.
Select the app
Choose the AppsBrains subscription.
Tap Cancel subscription
Follow the prompts to confirm.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for another period.
4. How to Request a Refund
Apple App Store
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
- Select Request a refund, choose a reason, then choose the purchase.
- Submit. Apple typically responds within 24–48 hours; approved refunds appear in 3–10 business days.
Google Play
- Go to play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory.
- Find the order and select Request a refund or Report a problem.
- Choose the option that describes your situation and submit the form.
- Google generally decides within 1–4 business days. Purchases within 48 hours are often refunded automatically.
If the store declines and you believe the charge was wrong — a duplicate charge, a feature that never worked, a renewal after a cancellation — email apps@appsbrains.co with your receipt or order number and we will take it up with the store on your behalf.
5. When We Support a Refund
We will back your refund request, and where we can we will action it directly, if:
- You were charged more than once for the same purchase;
- You were charged after cancelling, and the cancellation was made in time;
- A paid feature was unavailable or fundamentally broken for a prolonged period and we could not fix it;
- The purchase was made without authorisation (for example by a child) and reported promptly;
- We discontinued a paid feature or app during a period you had already paid for — in that case we offer a pro-rata refund.
When a refund is normally not available
- You simply changed your mind after using the paid features (outside any statutory withdrawal period);
- You forgot to cancel before a renewal, more than the store’s grace period ago;
- You are unhappy with a feature that works as documented;
- Consumable in-app items that have already been used or spent;
- The account was terminated for a breach of our Terms of Service.
These exclusions never override mandatory consumer rights under your local law.
6. Free Trials
Where a free trial is offered, the length and the price that follows are shown before you start. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Starting a trial for a plan you have already trialled may not be possible. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
7. EU, UK and Other Statutory Withdrawal Rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content and services bought online. By starting to use digital content immediately after purchase you may be asked to acknowledge that you lose this right once delivery has begun — the App Store and Google Play handle this consent at checkout.
Where the right of withdrawal still applies, exercise it through Apple or Google, or contact us at apps@appsbrains.co and we will help. Consumers in Australia, Canada, India and other jurisdictions retain any equivalent non-waivable rights under their local law.
8. Development Services and Client Projects
Payments for custom app development, design or consulting are governed by the signed statement of work or master services agreement, not by this policy. Unless that agreement says otherwise:
- Deposits secure scheduled capacity and are non-refundable once work has begun;
- Milestone payments are due on acceptance of the corresponding deliverable;
- If a project is cancelled, you pay for work completed and accepted up to the cancellation date, and we hand over the deliverables produced to that point.
9. Billing Support
Have your receipt or order number ready — it speeds things up considerably.
